After months of preparation we finally did it! Last Thursday we took the KLM plane to Washington DC. With our two dogs and two cats it was a very stressful flight. Martijns sister drove us to the airport in a rental because of all the luggage and animals we needed a bigger car😊 My in-laws stayed behind after saying our goodbyes.

At Schiphol it took almost 1.5 hour to check the animals in, a lot of paperwork and logistics were the main bottlenecks. The flight was pretty smooth, accept for a couple of minutes severe turbulence at the end. Due to COVID-19 the plane was nearly empty though and that was very pleasant. After the flight it took us almost 8 hours to get to Clarksville, because check out animals, picking up the rental, find our way to a Walmart and doing groceries took forever. But after being awake for 24 hours we finally arrived at our final destination, 104 Shiney Rock Rd, Clarksville, VA.
