Power is on!!!

This afternoon the power came on!!! After more then three days without power, we were absolute suprised that the power was on and stayed on. We just couldn't believe it! We are absolute happy and finally I was able to take a hot shower. More bad weather is hitting the US but so far it seems to pass us here at the Southside of Virginia.

Finally! Must’ve been a drag! I mean one night having no power is kinda romantic. Two days no power, well irritations settle in. More days no power, aww.. that’s just basically a pain in the *ss! I guess having a generator as some other poster said in a different post isn’t such a bad idea, or are power outages not that common? I’ve checked the GFS weather model runs and they do forecast another spell of cold weather this weekend. But that does seem to be the last of it. Then again, nothing as unpredictable as the weather.

Outages are not very common, especially not this long. We are looking into solar panels as well so then we are more self sufficient. Yeah and bad weather is heading our way too. Again a Ice storm. Rhey call it a storm because it is bad weather and NOT because there is a hard wind. Although there will be more wind then the last time. We keep our fingers crossed that we will be sparred this time🤞🏻
