Name of room number 5 revealed

Today is the day that we reveal the first name of one of our suites. For you who tuned in later, and don't know this, the name of our Bed and Breakfast is a dedication to the Sisters Carrington who, after the Civil War, founded the Sunny Side School for Young Ladies here at Sunnyside. The doors opened on January 2, 1872 and the school was run by the sisters for more then 30 years.

Because the sisters, or Ladies as they were so fondly called, have touched so many lives and were so loved by the ones that got to know them, we found it more then approriate to honor the sisters by naming our Bed and Breakfast the Sunnyside Sisters.

And by doing so we thought it more than fitting to give each room, each suite, a name of one of the sisters.

So that said, we reveil that room number 5 will be named The Miss Mildred Suite

This suite is dedicated to Miss Mildred Howell Carrington the sister that taught Art, History and English at the Sunny Side School for Young Ladies.Miss Mildred was born on November 27, 1842 as the youngest daughter of Tucker Carrington and Mary Watkins Carrington. She was named after one of her grandmothers.
Because she was the youngest of the four sisters that ran the School the pupils confided in Miss Mildred often. With some of the students she stayed in contact until the day she died.
On October 21, 1926 as the last sister, Miss Mildred died at the age of 83 years.

Stay tuned y'all, because there are 4 more room names to reveal.

Happy Labor Day weekend y'all!!!
