Last Saturday our dear friend Patty painted the ceiling of the front porch of the Sunnyside haint blue* and the front door dark blue. We are very happy with the result. 
The porch floor and stairs will be painted shortly because Martijn first, with some help from Brad, had to make the stairs safe again. 

*) For those that are not familiar with this Southern tradition, haint blue is used to paint porch ceilings. It is believed that this color wards haints, or ghosts, away from the home.
