Today an article about the Sunnyside School for Girls was published on Facebook by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources see Sunnyside School for Girls.

Last year I read about a manuscript that was about the Sunnyside School for Girls. I also read that this manuscript was supposed to be in the possession of the The Burwell School in North Carolina. So I contacted them and Carrie Currie who works with the school went beyond what I could have asked her, and she eventually was able to get a hold off the manuscript. This manuscript is an absolute great source of what went on at the school. So I used it with some newspaper articles to write this piece. We are happy that the DHR was willing to publish it.
