So this morning we were up early and waited for the 'roof'-crew to arrive. BUT, we waited and waited and then realized it is Martin Luther King day today so they had probably a day off because they never showed😢. So what is MLK day and why is it a national holiday? Well, i looked it up and Wiki has the following info.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (officially Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.,[1] and sometimes referred to as MLK Day) is a federal holiday in the United States marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year. King's birthday is January 15. The holiday is similar to holidays set under the Uniform Monday Holiday Act. The earliest Monday for this holiday is January 15 and the latest is January 21.

We marked the date in our calendar for next year when we are open for B&B business and hope that guests come and stay for an extended weekend😄
